CIMS is a global leader in machine vision that addresses specific needs of all segments of PCB and Semiconductors manufacturing industries offering dedicated inspection solutions based on advanced imaging and image processing technologies. CIMS provides automated optical inspection solutions, automated final/visual inspection solutions, metrology and add-on inspection options, system upgrade solutions as well as technical support and service dedicated to enhancing production processes and yield in Printed Circuit Board (PCB), High Density Interconnect PCB (HDI PCB), Flex and Rigid-flex PCB and IC Substrates. CIMS addresses specific needs of all segments of PCB (including IC substrates) manufacturing industry with dedicated solutions based on advanced imaging and image processing technologies. CIMS solutions are applied to wide range of applications across those segments at multiple stages of PCB manufacturing process. CIMS formerly known as Camtek Imaging Technology (Suzhou) or CIT, was established in 2005 as a manufacturing arm of Camtek Ltd., the world leading maker of inspection solutions for PCB and Semiconductor industries. In October 2017, as a result of Camtek PCB division spin off, CIMS has become a fully independent company with operations that span over five continents. At present, the company’s products and solutions are used by nearly all major PCB manufacturers around the world.

Electronics Quality Assurance Company CIMS Opens an Outpost in Israel

Chinese electronic quality assurance company CIMS has opened a research and development center in Israel. The center currently employs 30 people and is expected to grow to a 50-person team by 2021. CIMS was spun-off from Camtek Ltd. in 2005 and became an independent company in 2017 after the acquisition of Camteks PCB business. The new R&D center will focus on image processing and artificial intelligence technologies for electronics manufacturers. Principle Capital, the Chinese investment company that acquired Camteks PCB business, is looking to expand its activity in Israel through additional acquisitions.
