Israeli startups invited to join EU disabled mobility program
8200 Impact and CityZone, two Israeli entities, are leading the Access accelerator program for urban mobility and access solutions. They have issued a call for proposals from startups interested in participating in the program. The initiative is part of a project by EIT Urban Mobility to improve transportation access for people with disabilities. Seven startups will be selected to participate in workshops, online sessions, and personalized mentoring. The program will culminate in a three-day session during EcoMotion week in May 2023, where the startups will pitch their solutions to investors and stakeholders.

Israels first smart-city innovation laboratory and field experiment center, CityZone, has opened in Tel Aviv. The initiative, a joint effort by the Tel Aviv Municipality, Atidim Business Park, and Tel Aviv University, aims to provide a space for early-stage start-ups to develop technologies and solutions for modern cities. The laboratory will allow entrepreneurs to experiment with real scenarios and data, with the support of customers from the municipality and multinational companies partnering in the project. CityZone has already attracted companies like Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishis Israeli innovation lab and Dell Technologies. Selected start-ups will receive subsidized offices and training from experts in various fields. The program also offers exposure to local authorities in Israel and other cities worldwide.
