CMT Medical Technologies Overview

CMT Medical Technologies designs, develops, and manufactures high-resolution digital imaging solutions for general radiography, R&F rooms, and angiography special procedure suites. Through a combination of data acquisition and image-processing technology, CMTs systems virtually eliminate the use of cassette filming and 105-mm-spot cameras. CMTs systems are designed to ensure consistently high image quality, low radiation doses, efficient workflow, and seamless DICOM 3.0 connectivity. The PrestoDR is a digital radiography system featuring an integrated flat panel digital detector and CMTs proprietary technology, which incorporates object-oriented software and connectivity. The system delivers outstanding image quality, ergonomics, and performance,enhancing radiology department workflow and productivity. SmartSPOT PrimaX is a high-resolution digital photospot andangiography imaging system for the retrofit market. The SmartSPOT PrimaX converts any analog or non-DICOM digital R/F or angiography suite into a fully digital, DICOM-compliant system at a fraction of the cost of a new room. Designed in close consultation with radiology professionals, SmartSPOT PrimaX delivers results in ERCP, GI, urology, and angiography examinations. CMT is a subsidiary of Thales.

Thales to purchase CMT Medical shares for almost $30M

Thales Group has made an offer to purchase 50.1 percent to 100 percent of CMT Medical Technologies shares for approximately $29.3 million. This acquisition will allow Thales to expand its portfolio in the medical imaging sector and gain new products and pipeline potential. CMT will become part of Thales Group and will benefit from Thales technological knowledge and broader sales and distribution channels.
