The Economy Ministry’s Small and Medium Businesses Agency has selected Cogito Capital and Peninsula to manage a NIS 1 billion growth capital fund for medium-sized businesses in Israel. The two funds will receive NIS 100 million each in investment from the Finance Ministry and are expected to grow that figure to NIS 300m.-NIS 450m. The funds aim to provide solutions for reducing risk for investors, injecting funds for business development and growth, increasing production capacity, and expanding into new markets. The government will invest up to a quarter of the total investment and take a disproportionate level of risk, while private investors will have a disproportionate level of the upside.
