‘From the ground up’: Land x Launch NZ ropes in five start-ups to tackle gaps in soil health
Agrifood Futures, along with Farmers2Founders and Agnition Ventures, announced the inaugural cohort of start-ups focused on soil health, a critical issue for New Zealands agriculture. The cohort includes Cooling Crops, Margins, M4Life, Solena Ag, and Tierra Spec, each offering innovative solutions to enhance soil management and address environmental challenges. The initiative, named Land x Launch, aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable farming practices through innovation in biologics and data-driven decision-making. New Zealands strong agricultural foundation provides an ideal environment for testing and scaling these solutions globally. The program emphasizes the importance of soil health for productivity, sustainability, and climate resilience, setting a precedent for future cohorts.
