Copter Water Technologies, an Israeli start-up, has developed a unique technology aimed at replacing the use of chlorine in swimming pools. The companys purification facilities are designed to provide full disinfection by releasing controlled amounts of monovalent copper ions, replacing the need for chlorine. This solution is healthier, cheaper, and more environmentally friendly. Exposure to high concentrations of chlorine can lead to severe symptoms, including blurred vision, burning sensation, redness, blisters on the skin, chest pressure, breathing difficulties, nausea, and vomiting. Chlorine irritates the respiratory system, especially in children and the elderly.
