Israel, Poland Launch Corporate-Startup Co-Innovation Program
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has signed a 10-month innovation plan with Israeli and Polish organizations, supported by the Israeli government and the Polish Ministry of Technology and Entrepreneurship. The plan aims to facilitate cooperation between large corporations and startups from both countries to address innovation needs and challenges. The program involves a challenge-creation phase, selection of startups and entrepreneurs, a bootcamp in Tel Aviv, consultations between startups and corporate innovation teams, and a joint demo day in Warsaw. Two Polish corporations, Tauron Group and Asseco Poland SA, have already signed a letter of intent to become partners. The program is expected to begin in January 2019 and aims to foster bilateral entrepreneurship and support the development of Polands innovation ecosystem.

Create Tel Aviv, a new accelerator funded by the Tel Aviv Municipality, the Bosch Group’s investment fund (RBVC), Visa Europe, Leumi Card and Energias de Portugal, is seeking experienced entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. The accelerator, which has $1 million in funding, will support up to 25 entrepreneurs twice a year through a two-month ideation boot camp. The top five to seven teams will then receive $50,000 in funding for a four-month acceleration stage. Terra Venture Partners will also provide support, investing up to $5m in successful ventures.
