Israeli digital health company CVAid Medical has completed a $4 million series A round of funding. CVAid has developed a platform that utilizes AI technology for the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of cerebrovascular accidents (brain strokes). The platform allows medical teams to perform neurological examinations based on video and audio captured via smartphone, with real-time analysis by the companys AI algorithms. CVAids platform also enables non-professionals to react quickly to suspected strokes by filming patients, with the AI network producing a diagnosis and recommendation. The company has achieved nearly 90% accuracy in stroke detection and severity. The funding will be used to accelerate CVAids strategic plan, including regulatory processes, clinical research, and expansion of their development center in Israel.

The app, CVA Flow, analyses real-time data to send alerts about stroke events. Another app, connected to a remote neurologist, displays all the information and alerts from the field in real time. The technology also helps monitor the patient during the recovery period after the event. CVAid has raised $2 million from radbiomed, an accelerator program for biomed companies of the RAD Group. The company is also working on raising additional capital and signing partnership agreements with strategic entities.
