Cyberglobes to help Telangana cops scan social media
Cyberglobes, an Israel-based company specializing in cyber forensics and information security, is in talks with spy agencies in India to acquire its hi-tech social media analytics tools. The tools are designed to scan and analyze social media platforms for messages related to terrorist and criminal activities. Some agencies have already acquired or are in the process of acquiring the tools. Cyberglobes recently held a demonstration session for police officials and cyber experts in Hyderabad to showcase the systems capabilities. The technology includes text analysis, entity extraction, and graphical relationship mapping. Law enforcement agencies see the tools as a way to prevent lone wolf attacks and track terrorist activities. The cost of the products is reported to be several crores of rupees.
