Tokyo-listed Dentsu Backs Digital Communication Startup Imprint
Dentsu Inc., a Tokyo-listed Japanese advertising and public relation corporation, has invested in Imprint, a Tel Aviv-based digital communication startup. The exact amount of investment was not disclosed but is in the millions of dollars. This is not Dentsus first investment in Israel, as they previously acquired abaGada Internet Ltd. in 2015. Dentsu also announced the establishment of a new division in Israel to scout for investment and collaboration opportunities with Israeli startups. Imprint, founded in 2013, conducts market research on social media to gain insights and develop messaging strategies for target audiences. The company employs 100 people.

They have established a local division in Israel called the solution intelligence center and have signed a partnership with Israeli data-based marketing company Optimove.
