Israeli tech promises the end of misplaced car keys
Cobra, an Israeli maker of automotive safety devices, has developed a virtual car key called Mobile-Key that can be operated remotely from a mobile app. The electronic control unit installed in the car interacts with the app via Bluetooth, allowing car owners to unlock doors, open the trunk, flash lights, and start the car without a physical key. The Mobile-Key app can be shared by five users and is compatible with cars that use buttons to start up. Cobra plans to launch the product in the United States and Europe in the next three months. The retail price for Mobile-Key is suggested to be NIS 1,190 ($365).

Israel's DOORe opens the door for a key-less future
Tel Aviv-based Cobra Group has unveiled DOORe, a smart-lock home entrance security system that eliminates the need for house keys. The system allows homeowners to authorize anyone with a previously scanned fingerprint to open the front door at a specific time. It is managed through a smartphone app and includes video capability and push notifications. The system also provides mobile alerts about activity outside the front door and stores event history and video recordings in a secure cloud. DOORe is transferable between doors and premises. The article has a growth-positive impact on Cobra Group.
