Robotic catheter maker EndoWays acquired by Ascendum
Israeli company EndoWays, which developed a Robotic-assisted microcatheter, has been acquired by Hong Kong-based investment platform Ascendum. The acquisition will help EndoWays accelerate its clinical and commercial development, particularly in China. The technology developed by EndoWays allows efficient navigation through blood vessels without excessive radiation exposure. The acquisition amount was not disclosed, but industry estimates suggest it is in the $10 million range. EndoWays will relocate to a new headquarters in Caesarea. The companys founder, Noam Shamay, will serve as the chief technology officer post-acquisition. The deal provides EndoWays with access to Ascendums experience and network, aiding its growth in China.

MEDX Xelerator broadens international collaboration
Israeli medical-device incubator MEDX Xelerator is collaborating with innovation hubs in the EU and the US to advance medical technologies. In the EU, MEDX Xelerator will collaborate with Health Hub Vienna (HHV), while in the US, it will collaborate with Parvizi Surgical Innovation (PSI). MEDX Xelerator has also launched collaboration with the University of Navarra (UN) in Spain. Through these collaborations, MEDX Xelerator aims to facilitate exchange in fields essential to innovation infrastructure and leverage their networks of strategic partners, hospitals, and universities. The collaborations are part of MEDX Xelerators proactive strategy to address significant unmet medical needs.
