It is a joint venture of Bazan Group, EDF Power Solutions, and Johnson Matthey, and through these co-founders and other strategic partners, accelerates startup growth towards commercialization. ESIL operates as a platform for establishing sustainable innovation solutions. It connects industries looking for green technology solutions with Israeli climate tech entrepreneurs and startups developing innovative solutions to environmental problems. The firm is supported by the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA).

Israel To Establish $4M Innovation Lab In Haifa For Environmental Tech
ESIL Technologies, a partnership between Bnnovation, EDF Renewables, and Johnson Matthey, has been selected to run a NIS 14 million ($4 million) cleantech innovation lab in Israel. The lab, located in northern Haifa, aims to transform Israel into an environmental tech powerhouse, strengthen the Israeli industry, and encourage the development of Israeli startups in the field. ESIL will receive funding for three years to set up the lab and support ongoing operations. Projects accepted into the lab can receive financial support of up to 85% of the budget, up to NIS 1 million ($286,000), for a period of up to one year. The focus of the lab will be on environmental protection and sustainability, with an emphasis on innovative technologies not based on fossil fuel sources.
