Fertigo Medical is developing a device designed to increase the success rates of in vitro fertilization (IVF). The device monitors the uterus in order to predict the optimal timing for receptivity to the implanted embryo. Fertigo Medical invented a device and method to discern the endometrium dating. Special image acquisition and other parameters, combined with sophisticated image processing, has been pre-clinically proven to provide as good an estimate of the uterus status as do the traditional methods (e.g., histology, hormone level, estrus).

Israeli tech companies take fertility treatments to next level

Israeli Medtech company AIVF, which develops an AI-based in vitro fertilization (IVF) software platform, has raised $25 million in an investment round led by Insight Partners. The investment comes amid a growing interest in IVF treatments in Israel, with the number of treatment cycles increasing significantly over the past few decades. Companies such as Embryonics and FertilAI are also working to improve success rates of IVF treatments using AI technology. However, one of the biggest challenges for these companies is financing their research, as gaining the necessary approvals to start commercial activity can take years.
