File X Overview

File X develops industrial image-processing software for control and measurement systems. The companys solutions include automatic inkjet head adjustment and inspection systems; an automated test, adjustment, and QA system for electro-optical assemblies; embedded diagnostics for electro-optical devices; and image-processing measurement systems. In 2005 the company launched Stream-Handler, an image-processing and monitoring engine. File X customers include HP Indigo Division, HP Scitex, Sperma Labs, Nur-Macroprinters, Holo Or, and Bright Source Energy.

Brimrose, File X Awarded Grant for Oil Spill Detection Technology

Brimrose Corp. and File X Ltd. have been awarded an $800,000 grant to develop hyperspectral imagers for oil spill identification. The program aims to quickly identify and contain oil spills, which cost billions of dollars in cleanup. Brimrose will provide acousto-optic tunable filter technology, while File X will contribute advanced software for real-time wavelength image matching.
