Calgary-based ultra-low-cost airline Lynx Air has announced it is ceasing operations from February 26, after filing for creditor protection. The company has advised passengers with existing bookings to contact their credit card companies to secure refunds for pre-booked travel. The shutdown will leave its employees out of work and potentially strand travellers who had booked with the airline.

Fosun's Israeli Rep Is Looking for Healthcare, Fintech, and Travel Technologies
Fosun International Ltd. is scouting Israeli startups to break into the Chinese market. The company has already made small direct investments in Israeli fintech innovation center The Floor and fintech startup BondIT Ltd. It has also acquired Dead Sea cosmetics manufacturer Ahava and invested in companies like Alma Lasers, MitrAssist Ltd., and OrNim Medical Ltd. Fosun has set up a group called the New Technology and New Economy Group to scout for strategic investments and acquisitions in the US, Africa, and China. The group has an on-ground scout in Israel, Danny Hadar, who is currently in talks with several Israeli companies.
