Japan's Fujitsu to open new R&D center in Tel Aviv, to focus on data security tech

Fujitsu plans to open a new R&D center in Israel focused on data and security of AI-based systems. The center is expected to launch in April 2023 and will recruit employees from Israel, Japan, and Europe. The R&D center will focus on security technology solutions for AI-based communications networks. Fujitsu aims to leverage Israels talent and innovation environment to lead the development of its future security and AI technologies. The announcement comes after Fujitsu partnered with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to establish a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Beersheba. Fujitsu is one of the worlds largest IT corporations with reported annual revenues of $32 billion.
