Women of any age with abnormal bleeding, BRCA mutations, or high cancer risk can use Tulipon for up to 12 hours. Its liquid-lock mechanism preserves the sample, which is then sent to a lab for AI-powered liquid biopsy analysis. Tulipon minimizes human interference, preventing errors and contamination. Its absorbent-free design ensures access to all fluids and tissue secretions, empowering early detection, convenience, and proactive reproductive health diagnostics.

Israeli femtech firm hopes to revolutionize market with new smart tampon

GalsBio, a femtech startup founded by biomedical engineer Hilla Shaviv, has raised $2 million in funding, in addition to nearly 1 million shekels through crowdfunding. The company has developed a product called Tulipon, a hybrid of a tampon and menstrual cup, designed to provide full protection without leaks for 12 hours. The product is also ecological and has an anti-bacterial coating. In the future, it may be used to diagnose diseases by examining the menstrual effluents it gathers. Despite the challenges in the femtech market, Shaviv is optimistic about the future of the company and the product.
