Samwer Brothers Team Up With Delivery Hero ex-CEO In New, $194M Venture Fund

Oliver and Marc Samwer, founders of Rocket Internet, have partnered with Fabian Siegel to launch Global Founders Capital, a €150 million fund aimed at startups worldwide, with a focus on developing markets and e-commerce ventures. The fund will behave more like a traditional VC and will invest in various stages of investment from seed to growth capital. The Samwers aim to use this fund to get involved in businesses that they otherwise might not incubate at Rocket. The fund will not invest in Rocket Internet-backed companies. Limited partners in the fund include the Samwer family and other entrepreneurial families.
