Petah Tikva-based Griiip, a data-driven platform focusing on motorsports, won the Best Startup Tech Company at the 2022 SportsPro OTT Awards. The company transitioned from car manufacturing to focus on data analysis during COVID-19. Their technology, which utilizes multiple cameras, can be used to service the entire industry, expand fan bases, and provide valuable data to companies like sports betting providers. Griiip closed a $4.9 million fundraising round last year and is currently raising an extension to that round. Porsche is one of their investors. Griiip also counts Formula E among their customers.

Griiip has already signed cooperation contracts with several racing series.

LiveU and Griiip unveil motorsports media solution platform
LiveU and Griiip have announced an extended partnership to create a cost-effective, end-to-end video and data platform for racing series content. The partnership combines LiveUs remote live broadcast capabilities with Griiips data content solutions for engaging motorsport programming. The two companies have been cooperating for the past two years and have successfully implemented the solution in this years G1 Series across Europe. LiveU provides a way to deliver HD live video without complex infrastructure, while Griiip develops data-based content solutions for motorsport series. The joint products offer a Plug & Play solution for collecting, editing, and distributing live videos with data-centric content. The partnership is expected to become the motorsport industry standard.

Griiip strikes first broadcast deal for disruptive race car series
Griiip, an Israeli company, aims to reinvent the coverage of motorsport with its G1 Series. The series includes drivers competing in virtual simulator races, low budget data-driven live streaming production, and free online access to all footage collected from each race. Griiips goal is to enhance engagement and intimacy in motorsport coverage, providing viewers with the story and emotion of the sport. The G1 Series, which begins in April, will feature 14 drivers competing in seven races in Italy. Griiip also plans to introduce machine learning to interpret race data and create fresh editorial content. The company has partnered with LiveU for remote production and broadcasting.

Israeli Race Car Maker Griiip to Integrate Live Video Broadcast in Vehicles
Griiip Automotive Engineering Ltd. is integrating live broadcast technology into its race cars through a partnership with LiveU Ltd. The broadcasting system will be installed on Griiips vehicles, allowing motorsports events to be streamed live on a dedicated site. Griiips G1 series race cars, powered by an engine from Aprilia, made their debut in the Formula X Italian race series and took first place. This collaboration follows Griiips previous partnership with Autotalks Ltd. to install chips capable of identifying risky road situations. LiveU, established in 2006, is a leading provider of live broadcasting and streaming technologies with over 3,000 customers worldwide.
