Korea Telecom (KT), a major telecommunications provider in Asia, has partnered with HEQA Security, a cybersecurity company specializing in quantum-safe encryption technologies. This collaboration focuses on developing quantum key distribution (QKD) technologies to enhance KTs secure communication capabilities. The partnership aims to integrate HEQAs advanced QKD systems into KTs infrastructure, ensuring robust protection against emerging cyber threats. The collaboration will be showcased at Quantum Korea 2025. HEQA Securitys local partners, Hanwool Material Science and JinInfra, will support the deployment and technical collaboration. HEQA Security, an Israeli cybersecurity company, has begun supplying its solution that protects optical communication systems from data theft by supercomputers and quantum computers. The company has started supplying the system to various customers and is working with leading business and technology partners, including Thales, Cisco, Ciena, Nvidia, and Bezeq. Bezeq plans to use the system to protect its optical fiber network. HEQA Security was founded at the Hebrew University about five years ago and has developed a solution for protecting communication channels based on quantum technology.

The solution will be demonstrated at the site of one of PacketLight Networks’ customers. The quantum encryption market is predicted to reach a sales volume of more than $24Bn in 2025.
