HR Signal, a startup that uses algorithms to predict which employees are most likely to leave their jobs, has raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding. The companys Workforce Insights Engine analyses billions of data points from public sources, market data and peer career path data. The founders initially focused on directing recruiters towards under-promoted or under-recognized employees, but later shifted their focus to boosting employee retention. The companys algorithms consolidate data from external and public data sources to help clients retain employees.
