Levinsky College of Education in Israel is launching a new training program for teaching gifted and excellent students. The program is a joint effort with the Ministry of Educations Department for Gifted and Excellent Students. The curriculum will last two years and will combine theoretical studies with practical experience in teaching gifted students in regular schools. In addition, the college has partnered with the SpaceIL association to create a bachelors degree program in early childhood education that incorporates space studies.

A team of students from the Hebrew University and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design has developed an anti-viral fabric for use in public transportation to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The project won first place in a competition organized by JLM Impact, a collaboration between HUJI innovate, Bezalels innovation center, and the Azrieli College of Engineering. The unique fabric is printed with copper ink, known for its anti-microbial and anti-viral properties, and can be easily applied to surfaces in public transportation to reduce the risk of infection. The development of the product is expected to be fast and inexpensive as it can be printed on existing fabrics. The team received a prize of 15,000 shekels in the competition.

Entrepreneurship center sets up in Jerusalem with NIS 20m grant
