Israeli company HyperGuest, which develops a system to streamline the hotel room booking process, has completed a $15 million Series A funding round led by Lightspeed and participated by Viola. The funding brings the companys total raised to over $23 million. HyperGuest was founded in January 2020 and currently employs 45 people, most of them in Israel, Argentina, and the European Union. The company aims to simplify the complex world of hotel booking, which includes many players and intermediaries, many of whom are not exposed to the end consumer.

HyperGuest aims to connect travel agents and hotels digitally, offering a marketplace concept for direct trade between hotels and websites, similar to Alibaba or Amazon. The company takes zero commission from the hotel and a small fee from the distributors. HyperGuest currently has several thousand hotels and tens of thousands of villas and apartments for short-term rental on its platform.
