It operates through the following segments: Automotive; Industrial Power Control; Power Management and Multimarket; and Digital Security Solutions In 2001, Infineon Technologies opened an office in Netanya, Israel, focusing on broadband access business. In that year, Infineon acquired a company called Ingentix, which was a joint venture between Siemens and Saifun Semiconductors. Ingentix had a research and development center in Israel, and Infineon continued to operate this center after the acquisition. In 2020, Infineon Technologies acquired Cypress Semiconductor Corporation including its Israeli R&D Center
