Informed Decisions, an Israeli start-up, has developed a technology that helps to eliminate unconscious bias in job interviews. The technology collects data on each interviewers patterns and highlights biases that may influence their hiring decisions. The companys founder, Dr. Shiran Danoch, explains that biases can range from gender and sector differences to overemphasis on certain skills or traits. Informed Decisions technology also provides insights into common biases that can affect the recruitment process, such as the primacy and recency effect, where interviewers remember information from the beginning or end of an interview more clearly. The company, which has been bootstrapped and is profitable, currently has five customers using its product.
