Ultrasound breakthrough allows doctors to examine patients remotely
Israeli company iNNOGING Medical has developed a new ultrasound technology that allows physicians to manipulate captured ultrasound video and perform a virtual dynamic exam without the patient present. The technology converts video clips into 3D models, allowing doctors to navigate inside and see everything thats going on. The iNNOGING hardware, which includes a probe and pad, attaches to any computer and requires no special training. The company has completed its first investment round and expects its ultrasound simulator product to be ready for commercialization in one year. They are also developing a medical ultrasound analyzer that could launch in the US market within three years, pending FDA approval. iNNOGING is in talks with several Chinese entities and is looking for doctors and radiologists to join their advisory board.
