It is backed by a major European energy utility EZ, a.s. and by the European Investment Bank (EIB), having EUR 430m at its disposal. Inven Capital seeks investments into innovative de-carbonisation and sustainability growth-stage startups. The firm is interested in fields related to de-carbonisation and sustainability such as clima-tech, energy efficiency, IoT, clean transportation, water, ag-tech. It targets late-stage growth opportunities with business model proven by sales and with significant growth potential. It focuses on creating long-term value through an active support of the companies and their founders. Given its background, it can make relevant introductions (eg, to CEZ) to assist portfolio companies.
