Israel Jiangsu Center Overview

Israel Jiangsu Center is paving the way for Israeli firms entering the Chinese market. Jiangsu is one of China’s main tech and business hubs, and the local government has been active within the Israeli tech ecosystem in recent years, having backed 65 research and development joint projects. The Israel Innovation Authority, and the Jiangsu Science and Technology Department (JSTD), on behalf of the government of Jiangsu province, operate a cooperation agreement targeting industrial R&D projects between Israeli companies and Chinese companies from Jiangsu. This bilateral program is an outcome of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the State of Israel and China’s Jiangsu province in 2008.

China's Jiangsu Province Sets Up Tel Aviv Innovation Center

Chinas Jiangsu Province has launched the Israel-Jiangsu Center, an innovation center designed to host Israeli startups and Chinese companies scouting for local technologies. The center was set up by the Wujin Hi-Tech Industrial Zone and is part of the China Israel Changzhou innovation park Initiative. The inauguration event was attended by Jiangsu government officials, former Israeli ambassador to China Matan Vilnai, and the Chinese embassys science and technology counselor. The center aims to promote joint tech ventures and strengthen the Israeli tech ecosystem. Jiangsu has backed numerous research and development projects with Israel and is home to over 80 Israeli companies.
