Avnon Group strengthens position in drone market with $7.75 million acquisition of ALTI

iSTAR, a company specializing in the drone field, has acquired South African manufacturer ALTI for NIS 25 million. ALTI is known for producing vertical take-off and landing drones (VTOL) that are used by military and civilian security forces. The acquisition puts iSTAR in direct competition with other drone companies like BlueBird, Elbit, and Aeronautics. ALTIs products have been sold to 13 countries, including those in the Gulf region. iSTAR has also signed a $6.7 million deal for a border protection project in a Southeast Asian country, which includes ALTIs drones. The CEO of the Avnon Group, iSTARs parent company, stated that there is a growing demand for VTOL drones and ALTI has advanced capabilities in this field.
