International TechneGroup (ITI) acquires MechWorks s.r.l.
International TechneGroup (ITI) has announced the acquisition of MechWorks s.r.l., a product data management vendor based in Bologna, Italy. The acquisition is expected to contribute to ITIs revenue growth and expand its portfolio of product data interoperability solutions. MechWorks specializes in CAD/PDM design data management solutions and Siemens PLM Teamcenter CAD integrations. The MechWorks business will be incorporated into ITIs PLM Integration, Migration and Consulting business. The companies will work together to support MechWorks existing partners and key customers. ITI will also leverage its expertise in PDM and PLM integration to enhance the value it offers to customers. The acquisition is seen as a natural extension of ITIs existing partnership with Siemens PLM.

CAD data translation co Proficiency acquired by ITI
ITI has acquired Proficiency, a company that develops CAD data translation software. Proficiencys Collaboration Gateway technology will continue to be offered through the ITI TranscenData business. The acquisition allows ITI to provide automated re-mastering of parametric CAD data from one CAD system to another. Proficiencys technology is used by global enterprises in industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, and heavy machinery. The R&D headquarters of Proficiency in Tel Aviv will continue to be the key resource for development. The acquisition is seen as a win-win for both ITI and Proficiencys customers.
