Israeli Jewelry Company Partners With TAU Nanoscientists To Make World's Smallest Bible Part Of New Collection
Israeli jewelry brand Tanaor has partnered with the Tel Aviv University Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology to create luxury jewelry pieces embedded with the entire Hebrew Bible on a nanochip. The jewelry line, called Tanaor, features pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and charms with the nanochip containing all 1.2 million letters and 929 chapters of the Bible. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity and is checked to confirm the presence of the entire Bible. The jewelry is currently being sold in museums and online. Tanaor aims to bring together the worlds earliest writings and the latest advances in nanotechnology.

A Nano Bible from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology has been presented to the Smithsonian Institutions National Museum of American History. The Nano Bible is a .5mm2 silicon chip coated with a 20-nm.-thin layer of gold, containing the 1.2 million letters of the Bible. The project was developed by Prof. Uri Sivan and Dr. Ohad Zohar of the universitys Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute. The Nano Bible is part of an effort to increase interest in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology has gained positive growth from this achievement.
