Jubaan’s Tongue Twister May Save Your Life
Jubaan, a healthcare technology company, has developed a non-invasive device called Gixam™ that can detect gastrointestinal disorders by scanning the tongue. The device uses spectral imagery algorithms to analyze color spectrums and identify signs of disease. With a specificity rate of 70%-78% and a sensitivity rate of 46%-67%, the Gixam™ offers accurate and immediate results for early detection of colorectal adenomas. Jubaan has mapped the tongues of over 13,000 patients and plans to expand its diagnostic capabilities to include other gastrointestinal disorders. The company aims to change the current paradigm by offering economic incentives to physicians and involving them in the screening and treatment process. The Gixam™ is currently undergoing clinical trials and hopes to receive FDA breakthrough device designation by the end of 2023.
