StartApp adds Kibo to Portfolio of Mobile Data Technologies
StartApp has acquired the assets of Kibo, a branded keyboard-based mobile engagement solutions company. This acquisition will allow StartApp to enhance its understanding of how end-users engage with mobile content and enable brands to connect with them on deeper levels. Kibo had raised more than $11 million and earned more than 30 million downloads since launching in 2014. StartApp plans to incorporate Kibos technologies into its development of tools that use insights about mobile user behavior to enable companies to execute data-focused, multi-layered mobile strategies and create unique end user experiences.

Noam Lanir's Kibo teams with Yahoo!
Kibo, an Israeli company controlled by Apply and WhiteSmoke Software, has signed a cooperation agreement with Yahoo to integrate Yahoos content and search engine in Kibos keyboard apps. The agreement establishes a mechanism for sharing the profits from revenue generated by Yahoos content and search tool integrated in keyboards. Kibo has agreements for the development and distribution of smart keyboards containing content from various super-brands. Kibos keyboard for smartphones and tablets is used in over 100 countries and has been adapted to 40 languages.
