Hands-Free Underwater Jetpack Gives Divers And Surfers A Boost
Israeli startup KikFin is launching a hands-free underwater smart scooter. The device, which can be worn as a vest or attached to a surfboard, propels users through the water faster than Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. It uses specially developed wireless technology to allow communication through both air and water, and comes with a safety feature that can limit the swimmers depth or distance from their start point. An app tracks their speed, location and performance. The product will initially be aimed at recreational users, but CEO Amihay Mines says it could also benefit professional divers.

KikFin Adds Industry Veteran Jon Sumroy as Board Member and Advisor
KikFin, an Israeli start-up designing advanced solutions for personalized water propulsion, has appointed industry veteran Jon Sumroy to its board. Sumroy has had leadership roles at Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, and 888 Holdings, and has also worked with multiple start-ups. Most recently, he was founder and CEO of consumer hardware company Carfoldio Ltd. KikFins CEO, Amihay Mines, expressed his excitement about Sumroys appointment, stating that his leadership expertise will be a valuable addition to the company.
