Konnect scouts and tests deep tech Israeli Startups, based on the technological needs and use cases of the Volkswagen Group 12 brands. Using an open innovation methodology and local tech expertise, the Konnect team performs projects and PoC's with Israeli startups and converts them to long-term collaborations and deployments. The focus topics of Konnect are Autonomous Driving, industry 4.0, Connectivity & AI, Sustainability, Electrification & Cyber Security.

Volkswagen opens Tel Aviv innovation center
Volkswagen has opened an innovation center in Tel Aviv called Konnect, which will promote the development of autonomous vehicle solutions and provide Israeli startups with access to the VW Group. The center will serve as a co-working space and provide local partners and mobility-based startups with access to Volkswagen Group for business collaborations, mentoring, and consulting. The goal is to expand Volkswagens activities in Israel and engage with the Israeli startup ecosystem. Konnect will focus on various fields including sensors, simulation, connectivity, smart navigation, cyber security, e-mobility, and big data. Volkswagen and Konnect are also supporting 41 local startups with innovative business ideas related to the future of mobility.
