LeddarTech and Cognata have announced the integration of Cognatas simulation authoring software with LeddarTechs sensor fusion and perception technology, LeddarVision, to accelerate testing and validation of self-driving agriculture vehicles. The combined solution offers a realistic simulation and testing platform for autonomous vehicle (AV) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The market for field farming applications is expected to grow from 5 billion USD in 2020 to 20B USD in 2025, at a CAGR of 34.5%. LeddarTech, which acquired VayaVision in 2020, is a leader in level 1-5 environmental sensing solutions for autonomous vehicles and ADAS.

Israeli autonomous vehicle startup VayaVision acquired by Canada's LeddarTech
Canadian company LeddarTech Inc. has acquired Israeli automotive company VayaVision Sensing Ltd. The financial terms of the agreement were not specified, but the sale price is estimated to be in the region of tens of millions of dollars. VayaVision, now a subsidiary of LeddarTech, develops a data processing system compatible with autonomous sensor systems and provides technology to leading players in the automotive industry. The acquisition allows LeddarTech to combine VayaVisions sensor fusion perception technology with its own LeddarEngine platform, addressing customers need for scalable and adaptable sensing solutions.
