What makes Ashton Kutcher, Omri Casspi and the founder of Reddit invest in this Israeli startup?
Antic, an Israeli startup, has come out of stealth with a list of investors including the founder of Reddit, Ashton Kutcher, and Omri Casspi. The company has developed ad-hoc purchasing groups for buying items online, allowing users to pool their money together and become joint owners of the same product. Antic aims to solve the liquidity problem that exists when owning something as a group. The company plans to collect a certain percentage of each transaction from both the sellers and the buyers side. Antic has closed a seed funding round of $7 million, led by Seven Seven Six and the Sheva Foundation, with participation from other investors including Sound Ventures and Dapper Labs. The company was founded in 2021 and currently employs 15 people in its offices in Tel Aviv.
