Give someone a feel-good shout-out this Firgun Day
International Firgun Day, celebrated on July 17, is a day to pay compliments and say nice things about others on social media. The concept of firgun, a Hebrew word without a direct English translation, was popularised by three Jerusalem entrepreneurs in 2013. Roy Munin, CEO of MadeinJLM, an organisation that promotes and connects the Jerusalem-based entrepreneurship community, says the idea is to spread good vibes and recognise that the success of one company is the success of the entire ecosystem. The initiative has been joined by tens of thousands of people over the years.
