Sewage treatment co Mapal Green Energy raises £1.5m
Mapal Green Energy Ltd. has raised �1.5 million in its second financing round from Charles Street Securities Europe LLP. The company has also signed its first UK deal with Anglian Water Services Ltd. and has set up an office in London. The investment will be used to expand international operations and develop new sewage treatment products. Sewage treatment co Mapal raises $9m from UK fund
UK private equity fund Charles Street Securities Europe LLP (CSS Europe) has invested $9 million in Israeli sewage treatment start-up Mapal Green Energy Ltd. Mapal uses floating treatment systems to accelerate the oxygenation of contaminants in wastewater reservoirs, degrading them biologically. The companys method cuts maintenance costs at wastewater treatment plants by up to 80%. Mapal has previously raised NIS 11 million, with CEO David Azori being one of the investors. The investment from CSS Europe will contribute to the companys growth.
