Israeli investment house Meitav Dash is raising $100 million from institutional bodies and private investors for investment in private technology companies. The new fund will be based on the technological secondary platform of Israeli company Valoo, which identifies, provides valuation, and conducts transactions in shares of mature startups, most of them valued at over a billion dollars, from Israel and the US. The secondary market has been booming recently as a way to reward employees and in light of the fact that the IPO market is dormant. The fund, which will be closed, has already raised part of the money and intends to call it soon.
