N2WS, a Veeam company, has announced the availability of N2WS Backup & Recovery 2.5 (v2.5), a cloud-native backup and recovery solution for data and applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new solution introduces Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) resource management and control. With the new N2WS Resource Control, organizations can lower costs by stopping or hibernating groups of Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS resources on-demand or automatically, based on a pre-determined schedule.

The funding amount was undisclosed. The company plans to use the funds to enhance its product offerings and expand operations. Ratmir Timashev, co-founder of Veeam Software, has joined N2Ws Board of Directors. N2W Software provides enterprise-class data protection for production environments deployed in the public cloud. It is also expanding its development center in Haifa, Israel, and opening a new headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL.
