Nail polish robot paints and dries in 10 minutes per hand
Nimble, an automated nail-polishing machine, has been launched in pre-order mode on Kickstarter. The machine, developed by Nimbles team in Tel Aviv and New York, applies four coats of nail polish autonomously, drying each coat with warm air. The company has received $10 million in seed money from venture capitalists and angels, including Entree Capital Fund, the LionBird Foundation, and Nir Erez. Investors see the potential for Nimble to disrupt the $120 billion worldwide market for manicures. The unit is priced at $399, and each set of three polish capsules costs $10. Nimble has received 5,877 pre-orders for the product.
