Newfund, a Paris-based investment fund, has launched a new financial product aimed at investing in innovative startups in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Basque regions. The fund, named Nouvelle-Aquitaine Euskal Herria (NAEH), aims to raise between €5m and €7m to invest between €150,000 and €500,000 in minority stakes in around 20 companies. So far, NAEH has raised €3m from around 15 regional subscribers, including €350,000 from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region. The fund is open to companies from any sector and hopes to make its first investments in early 2019.
