The history of Nuvoton Israel can be traced back to the 1970s, when it was established as the Israeli research and development center of National Semiconductor Corporation. In 2005, the design center was acquired by Winbond Electronics and later spun off as Nuvoton Corporation. Nuvoton Israel is currently the largest design center of Nuvoton outside of Taiwan.

Nuvoton invests $20m in Israeli V2V co Autotalks

Taiwanese chipmaker Nuvoton Technology has invested $20 million in Israeli connected vehicles company Autotalks, acquiring a 7.14% stake at a company valuation of $300 million. Autotalks focuses on chips connecting vehicles in the smart car and driverless vehicle sector. Their strategic customers include Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota, and Chinese customers. Autotalks has raised $70 million to date in three financing rounds, with main investors including Delek Motors and Volkswagens Israeli importer Allied Group.

Israel Export Institute and Taiwan's Trade Dev. Council sign MoU to increase cooperation Taiwan News 2018-05-03 16:51:00

A delegation from Taiwan, led by the TAITRA chairman, visited Israel to explore possibilities of cooperative projects with Israeli firms. An MoU was signed to encourage closer cooperation between Israel and Taiwan in private and public sectors, with a focus on high technology industries. The aim is to boost trade and economic development in both countries. The delegation included representatives of 14 of Taiwans most important and innovative domestic tech firms. The TAITRA director expressed the intention to establish a technology research and development center in Israel. The plan is to bring more Taiwanese companies to Israel and invite leading Israeli companies to Taiwan to showcase their technologies.
