Crypto mobile payment app Oobit raises $25 million Series A | CTech

Singapore-based crypto mobile payment app Oobit has raised $25 million in a Series A funding round. The round saw participation from Tether, CMCC Globals Titan Fund, 468 Capital, and Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko. Oobit, founded in 2017, allows crypto holders to make payments at over 100 million retailers globally where Visa and Mastercard are accepted. The funds will be used for expansion into Asia Pacific, United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Australia, and to focus on integrating external wallets and accelerating the development of a Web3 gateway.
