Mexichem launches Israel tech hub, building on Netafim deal
Mexican industrial group Mexichem is establishing an innovation hub in Israel, following its acquisition of Israeli drip irrigation pioneer Netafim earlier this year. The hub will scout for technology and start-ups that align with Mexichems main businesses, develop new business models for the companys customers and explore investment opportunities for Mexichems new corporate venture capital fund. The companys CEO, Daniel Martinez-Valle, declined to provide financial details but said this would be a significant investment priority for the next five years.
