Revelator's Original Works to handle rights and daily payments

Revelator, an Israeli music/tech firm, is launching a spin-off called Original Works. Original Works is a blockchain-based asset issuance platform that aims to process and pay out streaming royalties to musicians and rightsholders on a daily basis. The platform allows musicians and rightsholders to manage their digital identities, register their copyrights, and create smart contracts to split royalties. The company hopes that the Original Works app will become part of musicians working lives. Revelator has already ingested data for around 1.8 million songs and generated seven-digit revenues over the last 12 months. The platform will be showcased at the NY:LON Connect conference in London and is expected to have a full launch at SXSW in March.
