Equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd launches an early stage digital health fund

Israel-based equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd is launching a sector-specific fund called OurCrowd Qure, focused on digital health. The fund aims to raise $50 million for its first raise and will invest in early-stage startups at the seed and Series A level. The fund is led by managing partners Dr Yossi Bahagon and Allen Kamer, with contributions from OurCrowds network of investors. Qure has already made its first investment in Israeli medical imaging and machine learning startup Zebra Medical. The fund is interested in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, genomics, and connected healthcare devices. OurCrowd has also established a collaboration with Johns Hopkins University to fast track startups market access and plans to form partnerships with other leading companies.
