Pageflex provides marketing automation tools for organizations with channel partners, distributed marketing and remote sales teams. Pageflex enables them to customize and personalize marketing communications across multiple-channels. In 2010, Pageflex acquired Press-sense, a leader in print production management, to complement the Pageflex enterprise brand management and web-to-print solutions. This powerhouse combination fully automated the creation, production, and back-office processes for print orders. Pageflex Israel, formerly BitStream Israel, continues to develop the web-to-print software technology.

Bitstream to Acquire Assets of Press-sense for Web-to-print, Printing Workflow Solutions

Bitstream Inc. has announced its acquisition of Press-sense Ltd., a leading developer of business flow automation systems, for $6.5 million in cash and the assumption of liabilities related to deferred revenue. The acquisition will expand Bitstream’s Pageflex product line and enable the company to offer a more comprehensive range of business management tools. Press-senses existing customers and OEM partners, including the Indigo division of Hewlett-Packard, Océ, and Xerox, have expressed their support for the acquisition. Bitstream plans to maintain an office in Israel to support Press-sense and Pageflex customers and to expand its support for customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
